The Youth Committee was formed by a group of New Glarus area citizens over 10 years ago with the intention of promoting  and facilitating the youth of the area. We are a non-profit organization. We meet on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month at 6:30 PM at Flannery's restaurant in New Glarus. All meetings are open to the public and we always welcome new members to join. We vote and pass resolutions as a quorum.

Our only Fundraising activity is the annual New Glarus MUSIC FEST held each Memorial Holiday weekend (Saturday - Monday) with lots of recreational and play activities as well as a lively beer tent with food and bands lined up from early afternoon into the night. With the monies brought in from this festival (which is in it's 16th year) we are then able to reach out to help our young people with grants and deeds throughout the year. We are the sole sponsors of the long tradition of LUNCH WITH SANTA held each December for the delight of hundreds of smaller children.

We also sponsor the annual Lunch with Santa, Youth Christmas Gifts project and after football game Frolic Night. 

Past donations include extra basketball court space and pool slide at the Village Park, bleachers at the football field, playground equipment at the New Glarus Woods State Park, Junior Great Books at the New Glarus Grade School and many more.
